JULY - SEPTEMBER

Morna returned to Castle Douglas to work with Japanese students for the fifth year to write and perform contemporary story adaptations.

Performances include: Edinburgh International Book Festival and SHE OF THE SEA (Paines Plough's 'Come to Where I'm From' at The Lemon Tree).

Morna was also delighted to return to Cove Park for a writing residency.

 

MARCH - JUNE

Development continues for FOLK (with a work-in-progress showing presented at The Tron) and PROJECTIONS (at The National Theatre of Scotland).

Performances include: Silver City Stories (Aberdeen Arts Centre) and Inspiration Point (The Lemon Tree).

FOLKIFY's Spring season at Blackfriars included special guests Stevie Jackson (Belle and Sebastian). Kate Reid (The Midden) and Mic Clark (Accoustic Butterfly).

 

JANUARY - FEBRAURY

Morna is delighted to have received the 2017 Dr Gavin Wallace Fellowship (hosted by Creative Learning, Aberdeen City Council). She will use this year long writing attachment to explore the theme 'The Folk, Language and Landscape of the Northeast'.

Morna and Sarah Rose Graber also attended a week long residency at ARC, Stockton to begin develoment on their new play PROJECTIONS.
